What is AFCAT?

The Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) is a national-level written examination organized by the Indian Air Force to select officers. 

In total, there are three major branches of the AFCAT Exam viz. Flying branch, ground duty technical, and ground duty non-technical. Note: Students appearing for AFCAT Technical Branch, need to attempt 1 additional paper (of EKT paper) compared to aspirants from other branches.

The roles under the flying branch include Air Force pilot, ground duty (Technical) include Aeronautical Engineer Mechanical and aeronautical engineer electronics, and ground duty (Non-technical) include logistics, accounts branch, and administration.    

Written exam pattern

Weight age-wise distribution
